Hay Structure II
Gold, stone and dizzying heights. These are some of the qualities of different buildings with the same goal. To give a feeling of nullity and a ‘creature-feeling’ to the viewer in the presence of the divine.
This work researches the architectural qualities that are necessary to create an artificial numen. My fascination with the concept of a 'creature-feeling’ by Rudolf Otto was leading for this work. Together with research of Vitruvius’ book ‘On architecture’.
This is an installation consisting of three seperate artworks: Cubes, Homo Corrige and Hay Structure.
