The mythical children of Sisyphus:
This artwork depicts the fictional struggle between two parties, both seeking meaning in their existence. The first is a ceremonial master, parading his relic across the river to evoke a sense of the divine among the people. The second group comprises the descendants of Sisyphus, who have been captured and forced to pull the monk's boat across the river. These individuals have found peace in their fate of eternal labour.
This piece is inspired by Albert Camus' book, The Myth of Sisyphus, and will be exhibited during the Bosch Parade in 's-Hertogenbosch.
